Prodigy Team

Welcoming Charles to the team

We’re really pleased that Assigned 2nd Line Support Engineer, Charles, has joined the fold. Read on to learn more about how he’s been finding it and how he feels to have been asked these questions!

What did you do before joining Prodigy?

I worked at a great, family run IT company in Somerset, before unfortunately being let go due to the effects of Covid-19. I then worked for a dairy wholesale company, looking after their IT and two websites.

What made you want to work with us?

I was really intrigued by the way they work and the confidence and belief they have in their ethos. It also helped that I’ve worked with Gary previously. He joined Prodigy a month before me, and could not stop raving about what it is like to work here.

How has your time here been so far?

So far it’s been a start to a job like no other. The support and positivity of my co-workers has been something I haven’t had before. I really like the way training and growth is talked about here as well.

What’s the best thing about working here so far?

Getting to learn the processes and different systems that are used for proactive monitoring here. IT work I have done in the past has taken a lot of manual checking, but at Prodigy we have a lot of systems that a setup by design to save time and be more proactive for customers.

What do you like doing in your free time?

Spending time with my 3 year old son and watching him grow I think is the best way I spend my time. My girlfriend, son and I have recently moved into a new house so that takes up a lot of our spare time. Other than that, it’s your typical football and computer games answer!

Any final thoughts?

I’d like to say I’ve never worked anywhere where I’ve been asked to answer questions for a newsletter so that’s another thing to go on the list of why I really like being here! I’m looking to improve and be a part of Prodigy’s growth.

If you’d like to join Charles and be a part of the Prodigy team, keep an eye on our careers page where we advertise new vacancies when they become available.
